Horse Trails
Paint Creek State Park provides a variety of bridle trails for anyone
who enjoys horseback riding. A large staging area where riders can
get a trail map and choose appropriate trail loops for a short ride of
a few hours,or a whole day of riding, Trails forge streams, climb
hillsides, wind through wooded areas and open meadows, A rest
area is located near a small pond along the trail.

Stream crossings on the southern loops may be unpassable during
high waters.
Campers, please self - register at the information board located at
the staging area.
A dump station is provided for campers with self - contained units.
Bike Trails
Paint Creek Mountain Bike & Hiking Trails begin at the entrance
to the campground. Hikers or Bicyclists can get a trail map at the
Park Office or Camp Store. Then choose a 4 or 6 mile South Loop
or a 3 or 5 mile North Loop to hike or ride. Single Track Trails are
available on both loops. The trails have numerous stream
crossings, traverses open meadows, and winds through wooded
hillsides of the park. Views of the lake can be seen from various
parts of the trail. A Picnic area is located along the South Loop
Trails. The South Loop also connects the Army Corps of
Engineers area and the Little Pond Trail for those who wish to
hike to the Paint Creek Dam ( bikes are not allowed on the Little
Pond Trail)

This is a multiple use trail for mountain bicyclists and hikers.
Please be respectful of others on the trails.
Hiking Trails
At Paint Creek hikers have a total of 14.5 mile of hiking trails
available.

Milkweed Meadow Nature Trail starts at the entrance to the
campground.
Paint Creek Mountain Bike & Hiking Trails begin at the entrance
